Lie #9: The Jewish people stole Israel.
For a detailed examination of ownership see: The Land IS Mine! and the account of Joshua in chapters 12-21 where Joshua details the territories allotted to the tribes of Israel.
- God has given the land to Abraham and his seed forever.
I am the LORD that brought thee (Abram) out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it. Genesis 15:7
And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. Genesis 13:14-15
And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. Genesis 17:7-8
Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites [the Nebo Ridge north of the Dead Sea and east of the Jordan River], and unto all the places nigh thereunto [the Jordan valley east of the river], in the plain [the Jordan rift or Arabah], in the hills [of Judea], and in the vale [the Shephelah in Hebrew between the Mediterannean coastland and the hills of Judea], and in the south [the Negev], and by the sea side [the Mediterannean coastland], to the land of the Canaanites [the Plain of Sharon and the Valley of Jezreel], and unto Lebanon [northward near to the river], unto the great river, the river Euphrates. Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them. Deuteronomy 1:7-8
Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD's thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is. Deuteronomy 10:14
Get thee (Moses) up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession. Deuteronomy 32:49

The Relevance of Archaeology to the Study of Scripture
Two Recent Archaeological Discoveries Support Biblical History
"(D)o not imagine that archaeologists go off to Israel or Jordan and dig in order to prove something in the Bible. Real archaeologists insist that they only dig and that they then let the chips fall where they may. Archaeologists insist that their members with any kind of integrity will not go into a project with a foregone conclusion in mind. In spite of that claim, however, we find that they too often are unconsciously skeptical of whether the biblical record is factual. What is remarkable then about their chips is that the vast majority still fall in such a way that they strengthen the biblical account. Even when archaeological evidence seems to conflict with Scripture (as it did, for example, in some of the excavations at Jericho), a new reading of the old evidence or a re-evaluation after the discovery of fresh evidence can correct a previous misreading or misunderstanding of the data. In spite of our hesitancy to accept assistance from sources outside the Bible, we cannot overlook what we have here. Even when they don't want to be our friends, history and archaeology have become powerful allies of Christianity in supporting the biblical record."
