Ancient cultures place the start of creation a few centuries or millenia before the start of their recorded histories. Each one has their point of creation with an antediluvian 'age' where their 'world' became populated, a post flood period of rebuilding the particular culture and then the start of their recorded history. This recurring pattern which dates creation for the Babylonians, Hebrews, Sumerians, Egyptians, Hittites, et cetera closely precedes their written historical periods of these cultures. Few, if any, of these histories exceed 5-7,000 years from the present.
