The historical record of the new testament and the testimonies of Christians since have validated that the "name of Jesus" carries great authority and power. These benefits include His loving grace to come to be a ransom for us, help for us to believe the evidence, the gift of the Holy spirit, the power to live a new and noble life, strength to love others and sacrifice for them, the desire to reach out in love by evangelism to those who have not heard of Jesus, the ability for some early disciples to work miracles for those in dire need and to cast out demons from those possessed, the joy of peace with God, the privilege of power in prayer to God, the fortitude to rebuke the wayward, the great privilege to suffer with Him, the gift of eternal life, and more. As the scripture states in Acts 4:12, "there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
