Worship
Worship is presenting the 'worth' of the object of our veneration! It is holding up for others to view the qualities and characteristics which move us to remarkable admiration and inspire in us emulation. We are abundantly pleased with the focal point of our worship and cannot keep silent in word or music, cannot keep still in action or labor, and cannot let go of someone so precious to us. This is so true that we make sacrifices to declare the glory, honor, majesty and power of our God.
Worship brings together our emotions and intellect with our spirit and strength. Sometimes we may be overwhelmed with joy or tears, with appreciation and gratitude, with devotion or obeisance, or with desire to serve. Our whole being is united in worship, emulation and praise transforming us into the image of our affection.
When we are genuine in our worship of our creator we place His word and example as the foundation of our moment by moment choices and actions. We, therefore, have inherently connected obedience to His will as part of true worship and admiration of the Most High God. With this we also acknowledge our weakness and disobedience for worship requires honesty. He is perfect! Just and right are all His ways! But, we have sinned, have not kept His word, nor have refrained from thoughts and actions that contradict His will for us.
Though we have not kept our self holy, harmless, undefiled or separate from sin we are invited, even encouraged, to come to honor, praise and bless His holy name. And when we do come, He is far more admirable, precious, intimate and tender than could ever be conceived in mind's eye. Moreover, His generosity, mercy and compassion overwhelm our lingering reticence to yield our whole being to one who made, loved and redeemed us.
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Rev 4:11 KJV
To the Lord my God be glory forever and ever! Amen.
Honor
1 Sam 2:30 Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
1 Chr 16:26-31 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place. Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved. Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.

They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness. The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
